For those of you who are unaware of the hexadecimal system, it’s a way of representing binary numbers that has been around for thousands of years.

Negative hexadecimal is the decimal equivalent of negative decimal. It’s the binary equivalent of adding one to negative one.

This is actually an interesting little game. In hexadecimal, the numbers 0-7 are not used to represent the numbers 0-255, but rather the negative numbers from 0-7. Negative numbers have a lower value than positive numbers. For example, if you add two negative numbers, the result is still negative. If you add positive numbers, the sum is still positive.

For example, the number -2 would represent a negative number only by 1 place. So, it would be “minus 2.” The negative hexadecimal value (-3) would represent a negative number only by 3 places. So it would be “minus 3.” The negative hexadecimal value (-4) would represent a negative number only by 4 places. So it would be “minus 4.

The negative hexadecimal values are only a couple of the many ways that negative numbers can appear. The most common negative hexadecimal value is minus 8, which represents a negative number only by 8 places. The next most common negative hexadecimal value is minus 16, which represents a negative number only by 16 places. The next most common negative hexadecimal value is minus 64, which represents a negative number only by 64 places.

The negative hexadecimal was originally used as a way of representing the negative value of a number. The negative hexadecimal is now often used in place of the decimal point in math equations. Negative hexadecimal is also used in the negative decimal approximation (such as the one used for the inverse of a negative number) and in negative exponent notation (such as for a number with a power of -1).
