I’m not saying that there is a right or wrong way to do things, but I am stating that there are all types of ways to get things done.

This is why I find it so interesting that the IT industry is always looking for people who seem to have the advantage over you. It is a fact that the people who are in this industry are the ones who make the decisions. The people who put the money in the company and the people who are the founders are the ones who make the decisions. But then the people who are running the company are the ones who have to be over your head.
I was in my thirties when I first began working at a company, and I thought it was a good idea to work for the IT department. I was young and didn’t particularly like the idea of being in IT. I was a little over my head in IT, but that’s okay, because I was young and stupid.
My first boss was a jerk, and I really didnt like him. It was just my personality and how I made decisions that led me to work for him. And then it was the owner of the company, a jerk too. I was on board and I think when I decided to work for him it was a good decision. It wasnt because I was a fool to work for him though. If I hadnt worked for him then I would be a fool to work for him now.
It’s not just that you are in IT. It’s that you don’t know what you’re doing. That’s an important lesson to learn in any career. That you don’t know how to do something because you did it a million times. You don’t know how to do something because you’ve been doing it for a long time.
