In fact, Sigmond was one of the first celebrities to appear in Playboy and Cosmo when their first year of publication in 1976.
Not only that, but Sigmond was also the first to appear in Playboy in the 1990s.
Sigmond also was the first to appear in Cosmo. She was one of those sexy young women who would be all over Cosmo and Cosmopolitan, but I guess that didn’t matter because it was the 80s and the magazine was still called Cosmo.
The 60s and 70s were a great time for women to be seen as cool, sexy, and young. This was largely due to the rise of the fashion industry in the 80s and 90s, which was a big force in the early 1990s.
For a while Cosmo was considered a feminist publication, and it did have a great line in young, sexy women, but it wasn’t until the middle of the 00s that we had a truly mainstream, all-girl publication. I’m happy to see that we have such an alternative.
