In the video, Maggs explains that he didn’t know his father and that he was hired by the bakery because he was the only one who knew the whole story about the bakery and the whole reason for Maggs being there.

I know that I am so far from the truth, but I can’t help it.

Maggs is the same age that our protagonist, Colt Vahn, is, and the same age that the main character of the video is. In fact, Maggs is in his mid-thirties as well, which is a good age for a bakers son. And he also has a daughter who is the daughter of the baker of the bakery, so he is already a family man.
