We’ve all said things like that before, but what I am saying is that we are all very guilty of that. Our own cats are the worst. I am guilty of this because I am the only one of my friends who has a cat. I don’t think any of my friends have cats. (And I have been a little too busy with my new job to see their dogs or birds or whatever).

The only other friends I have are my brother and his girlfriend. They both have cats, and they both love them very much. I am not saying that this is a bad thing. I am just saying that we all do bad things.
Just a few weeks ago, I went to see my friend and his girlfriend. He is an IT guy in his spare time and their friend. I was supposed to go to her mother’s house for a funeral, but I had a work thing. So I went to his house. We went to his room, and he had a cat. He started stroking it and talking to it, and it seemed like there were a lot of people in the house.
The cat started meowing to him. “You are so pretty. You are so pretty,” he said. The cat then started to purr, and I could see that the fur was coming out of its underbelly. I could also see that after a few moments, the cat was calm again, and the fur was coming back out of its belly.
But the point of this story isn’t just the cat. Instead, it’s that the cat is a metaphor for death and mourning. After the cat died, the owners of the building were supposed to have moved out. But the cat stayed, and now the owners are coming back because he’s comforting them. So the cat is a symbol of grief and death.
Deathloop is also a metaphor for when we die. To some, death means the end of life, so Deathloop is a reminder to not let ourselves slip into that state. Because we all know when we die its not for real.
