But in a medium-fast sauté pan, add about 2 tablespoons of butter and a good 1/2 cup of white wine. Let it bubble and toast until it’s all gone, then add the mushrooms and some salt and pepper to taste.
If you don’t have a sauté pan, you can also boil the pasta. Add the water and the salt and pepper. Cover and let it boil for 20 minutes. While the pasta is cooking, add the mushrooms and garlic to the pan and let it all go sizzling. Let it all go sizzling for about 5 minutes. Remove the mushrooms and garlic.
If you are like me and don’t like garlic, you can add a few cloves of garlic to the sauté pan and let it all go sizzling.
